Koko launches two dairy free cheese alternatives – available at Waitrose

Hard cheese

Koko Dairy Free alternative to cheddar is completely dairy free and has a mature but mellow taste which we believe is the closest to dairy cheddar on the market. It’s perfect sliced, grated or in cooking. It’s also great from a nutritional perspective as it has fewer calories and less fat than dairy cheddar but contains the same level of calcium plus added vitamins D2 and B12. What’s more it’s free from artificial colours, preservatives and flavourings. It’s available from Waitrose from early June priced £2.29 for a 200g pack and is suitable for vegans, coeliacs and those with nut allergies.

Soft cheese

Koko Dairy Free alternative to soft cream cheese is completely dairy free and is wonderfully smooth and creamy. It is fantastic on toast and bagels, in sauces and it makes a great pizza topping as it spreads nicely when heated. Nutritionally it contains fewer calories and less fat than full fat dairy soft cream cheese but has more calcium plus added vitamins D2 and B12. What’s more it’s free from artificial colours, preservatives and flavourings. It’s available from Waitrose from early June priced £1.99 for a 150g pack and is suitable for vegans, coeliacs and those with nut allergies.
